Built by a small shop, for small shops

ReviewBee is built and run by Plain English Web, a one-person web strategy and development practice in Pennsylvania. I built ReviewBee because the local businesses I work with (contractors, dentists, restaurants) needed a review tool that didn't feel like enterprise software with a smaller price tag. So I built one. This page tells you who's behind it.

Why ReviewBee exists

I've been building websites and digital infrastructure for small businesses for years — most recently a full website rebuild for Esh Builders, a family-owned exterior renovation contractor in Herndon, PA. Every client kept asking the same question: how do we get more reviews, show them off, and respond to them without spending half a Saturday on it?

The honest answer was that the tools available were either built for enterprise marketing teams (and priced that way), or so basic they didn't actually do the work. So I built ReviewBee - a tool that does the boring parts automatically, in language a small business owner can actually understand, at a price that makes sense for a business with one location and a handful of employees.
Why ReviewBee exists

Plain English, on purpose

Plain English Web Solutions is the name of my company for a reason. Most software companies have a marketing problem: they explain features instead of outcomes, use jargon to sound sophisticated, and hide their pricing behind "Contact us." Small business owners don't have time for that.

ReviewBee is built on the opposite principle. Everything has a clear name. The pricing is on the page. The setup is genuinely 15 minutes, not "15 minutes after our onboarding specialist schedules a call." If something on the platform confuses you, that's a bug - email me and I'll fix it.

A few things ReviewBee won't do

Every product has a worldview. Here's ours, stated plainly so you know what you're buying.
We won't filter your reviews
The private feedback option gives unhappy customers somewhere to vent privately before they post publicly - but every customer can still post on any public site, anytime they want. That's the law, and it's also the right way to run this.
We won't charge per location until you have more than one
Single-location businesses pay one flat price. If you grow, the pricing adjusts when you actually need it to. No "per-seat per-month per-region" math.
We won't make you talk to a salesperson
No demos required, no discovery calls, no "let's hop on a 30-minute Zoom." Try it free for 14 days. If it works, keep it. If it doesn't, cancel.
We won't disappear when you have a problem
Email lands in my inbox. I read it. I reply. That's it.
